MASS FORUM'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2026

Save the Date – Massachusetts Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys Full Day Event 2026

October 30, 2026
Archer Hotel | Burlington, Massachusetts

Join your fellow Massachusetts Forum/WealthCounsel members for a full day of practical discussions, innovative ideas, and real-world solutions designed specifically for estate planning attorneys.

This year's full day event will focus on two of the most significant topics facing practitioners today: the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the practice of law and proven strategies for navigating the everyday challenges of estate planning practice.

Morning Sessions: AI and the Future of Estate Planning Practice

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the legal profession. Our morning program will explore how estate planning attorneys can harness AI responsibly and effectively while managing ethical, malpractice, and cybersecurity concerns.

Topics will include:

  • Ethical considerations surrounding AI in legal practice
  • Malpractice and liability exposure
  • Confidentiality and data security issues
  • How clients are arriving at consultations armed with AI-generated information
  • Practical applications of tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other emerging technologies
  • A practitioner roundtable featuring your colleagues sharing real-world experiences, workflows, successes, and lessons learned

Afternoon Session: Speedbumps and Potholes on the EP Highway

Even the best-designed estate planning process can encounter client obstacles along the way. This highly interactive session will examine the issues, complications, and surprises that estate planning attorneys commonly face throughout the client journey—from collecting information prior to the initial consultation.

Drawing on the collective experience of the group, participants will discuss real-world challenges and practical solutions when dealing with difficult client situations and common practice-management pitfalls

Attendees will leave with proven ideas, procedures, and best practices that can be immediately implemented in their own firms.

Special Closing Session: The Massachusetts Forum/WealthCounsel Custom Clause Exchange

One of the highlights of the event will be an exclusive clause-sharing session featuring drafting techniques and provisions contributed by fellow Massachusetts WealthCounsel members.

Presenters will share custom provisions they use in WealthDocx documents to address real-world planning challenges, explain the purpose behind the language, and discuss how the clauses improve outcomes for clients.

By the conclusion of the program, attendees are expected to receive and take home a collection of approximately 90 custom estate planning clauses gathered from experienced Massachusetts WealthCounsel practitioners—a unique resource that can provide drafting ideas and practical solutions long after the symposium ends.

Whether you are looking to better integrate AI into your practice, improve your client experience and workflow systems, learn from the successes and mistakes of fellow practitioners, or expand your drafting toolkit with dozens of creative custom provisions, this symposium promises to deliver valuable takeaways you can put to use immediately.

Testimonial

"For me, the education and collegiality at the quarterly meetings are the best part of the Mass Forum. The topics are relevant and I learn so much from the presenters and fellow attendees. If you are a current member, I recommend you block out the quarterly meetings on your calendar to attend. If you are not yet a member, this is the best investment of time you can make for your practice."
